On March 28, an education job fair was held in Mercy Hall for students at the University of Saint Joseph. The Crystal Room was jam-packed with students and schools looking to hire future educators or employees. Sixteen different school districts attended, providing USJ students with a variety of different districts to consider. The event was open to all students, but was particularly appealing to the education majors here at the University of Saint Joseph.

Some of the school districts that attended were: Bridgeport Public Schools, Cooperative Public Schools, Capital Preparatory Schools, Capital Region Education Council, LEARN RESC, and Farmington Public Schools. Our own Gengras Center and the School for Young Children were also in attendance, informing students about available jobs and opportunities that are located right near campus. Other school districts that came to USJ were Granby Public Schools, Hartford Public Schools, Manchester Public Schools, and New London Public Schools. Finally, Newington Public Schools, Simsbury Public Schools, and Waterbury Public Schools were also in attendance.

Many administrators from these school districts were at USJ to explain to students what positions were open at various school districts and how they could go about the application process. School district representatives gave their contact information for students to send resumes, apply for jobs, or ask follow-up questions. Overall, USJ students were given a spectacular opportunity to connect with administrators in the field of education, allowing them to better prepare for potential employment opportunities.
