The Spring Show Concert

The University of Saint Joseph’s Dance Ensemble is ready to show the audience their talent with the upcoming Spring Show Concert! This dance performance will feature many talented dancers showcasing their skills and passion for dance. Adding to the excitement, special guests such as the Hall High Jazz Dancers, the non-profit contemporary dance company IMMIX Dance Project, and the University of Saint Joseph Choir and acapella group will be taking the stage and bringing their own unique style and energy to the show. The show will also feature a film by a student named Tiana Durham.
Within this show, there are two talented dance choreographers: Garet Wierdsma and Lauren Horn. These two choreographers have come to USJ in the past and did a masterclass with students at the 5×5 dance performance event, which is a contemporary dance festival. Everyone loved their energy and choreography, so we asked them to come back to choreograph for the spring show. Another choreographer named Christopher Croucher is also choreographing a dance piece with the students which will be filmed outside in nature and then displayed at the Spring Show Concert. Alongside their choreography, the show will include student-choreographed dances. This will be an opportunity for the students to express their love for dance through their own choreography.
Make sure to save the date for this event on April 20, 2024, at 7 p.m. at the Hoffman Auditorium, which is located on the University of Saint Joseph campus. Prepare to be captivated by the creativity, talent, and emotion conveyed through each dance piece. Don’t miss the chance to watch the talented students bring their passion for dance to life in a captivating display of movement and expression.
